Scout Headquarters and Sports Field
Our Group has its own headquarters. We have a large field and a prefabricated building. The building needs to be continually maintained, which is another major task for the Group Executive. The field is excellent for camping. We run some of our own camps there. It is also big enough for a good game of football.
In order to help fund the cost of maintaining our premises we hire it out. We also have a small marquee. Here is our current charge structure.
- Scout Groups
- Small Camps - £1.00 per person per night including toilets. Hut, £5.00 per night.
- Weekend Section Camp - £25.00, Friday afternoon to Sunday, including full use of hut.
- Week Section Camp - £75.00, including full use of hut.
- Field for other events - £5.00 per day.
- Field and hut for other events - £10.00 per day
- Other arrangements such as larger camps are subject to negotiation.
- Other Groups or Private Hire
- Camps - £2.00 per unit per night including use of toilets. £10.00 per night for use of hut.
- Shows (Fetes, Dog Shows) - £25.00 per day including use of hut.
- Children's Party (primary school age) - £5.00 for up to 4 hours.
- Hut for other events - £10.00 per day or part thereof.
- Field for other events - £15.00 per day or part thereof.
- Other arrangements such as repeated events are subject to negotiation.
- All Users
- Marquee - £25.00 per day.
- Erection and Dismantling - £25.00 per event.
- Other equipment such as patrol tents and tables are available, details on request.
